He said that the Press Council hadn’t received an official appeal against the smear campaign yet: “However, we will establish a hot line to receive such applications from all the regions of the country.”
Amashov noted that they had established a monitoring group to clarify the relations between journalists and police in the protests and rallies. The Press Council Chairman said that 50 media outlets have been registered to participate in the election campaign: “We will conduct monitoring on the amount of profit made by media outlets from election advertisements.”
