Nushiravan Maharramli: The amount of the state dues required for the television and radio broadcasting will be changed in Azerbaijan

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. The amount of the state dues required for the television and radio broadcasting will be changed in Azerbaijan, chairman of the National Television and Radio Council Nushiravan Maharramli told APA.

He said the state dues will be classified after the application of the new rules for the issuance of license.
â€œWe have held consultations with Azerbaijan Cabinet of Ministers, relevant ministries. A draft has been prepared for classification of the amount of the license. It will be confirmed soon. AZN 11 000 has been paid for television and radio broadcasting in Azerbaijan up to now. From now on, this amount will differ,â€ he said.

Maharramli said TV and radio channels broadcasted in the country will continue to pay AZN 11 000. The prices for regional TV and radio channels, cable televisions will differ.
â€œThese prices have been considerably reduced. Regional TV channels will pay AZN 3000, regional radios AZN 1000, cable televisions having more than 5000 subscribers will pay AZN 6000, cable televisions with under 5000 subscribers will pay AZN 3000,â€ he said.

Nushiravan Maharramli said the aim of the process is to conform television and radio broadcasting to the European standards.
