Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation allocates financial assistance to journalistsâ€™ families

Baku â€“ APA. Basing on the letter of the Fund of assistance for protection of freedom of speech and journalists, Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation allocated extra $10,000 to the families of the imprisoned journalists. Press service of the Fund of assistance for protection of freedom of speech and journalists told APA that the meeting was devoted to that problem. Five appeals in connection with the assistance to the family or official representative of the imprisoned journalists were considered at the meeting.
All of the appeals were granted, decision was passed to allocate $9000 assistance.
According to the decision, $3000 has been allocated to the family of Azadlig editor-in-chief Ganimat Zahid, $3000 to the family of the editor-in-chief of the Gundalik Azerbaijan Eynulla Fatullayev (basing on the appeal of his father Emin Fatullayev), $1000 to the family of the Bizim yol correspondent Mushfig Huseynov, $1000 to the family of AN online television Emin Milli (Abdullayev), $1000 to the family of blogger Adnan Hajizadeh.
