Ali Hasanov: â€œMass media should prefer promotion of statehood and patriotismâ€

Yevlakh. Teymur Zahidoglu â€“ APA. â€œThere is a favorable condition for the mass media in Azerbaijan, but the media should also preserve the principles of statehood. Because every journalist is first of all a citizen,â€ Chief of Socio-Political Department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov said at the regional conference in Yevlakh, APAâ€™s Karabarkh bureau reports. Ali Hasanov said the socio-political situation is very favorable for the development of media and added that improvement of mass media in the regions, formation of the material-technical basis, increase of the proficiency are to the advantage of Azerbaijani society.
Classifying mass media in three groups Ali Hasanov said according to the world practice, mass media is divided into national, transnational media, area media and regional media.
â€œMass media is developing in these directions in Azerbaijan, but anyway mass media should prefer the promotion of statehood and patriotism. Good media requires good society,â€ he said.
