Regional media conference in Yevlakh â€“ <font color=red>UPDATED â€“ PHOTOSESSION </font>

Yevlakh. Teymour Zagidoglu â€“ APA. A conference entitled â€œRegional media in the condition of globalization and convergence: realities, contemporary tendenciesâ€ was held in Yevlakh region of Azerbaijan. Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council Aflatun Amashov, Chief of Public Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov, Executive Director of the Fund of State Support for the Development of Mass Media Vugar Safarli, Chairman of the Azerbaijan National Broadcasting Council Nushiravan Maharramli, APA Director General Vusala Mahirgizi, Chairman of the International Eurasian Press Fund Umud Mirzayev, as well as managers of other leading media organizations of the country, representatives of the regional televisions and radio stations, newspapers and magazines and number of government officials attended the conference, APA reports. First hand news, legislation, experience and new tendencies, regional television and globalization and convergence, law-enforcement and regional media organizations, quick and objective news and mutual responsibility, description of provincial life in the Azerbaijani media, economic situation and management in the regional media organizations were discussed at the conference.

In his welcoming speech, head of the executive power of Yevlakh region Elmar Veliyev thanked the media organizations for holding their meetings in Yevlakh. He pointed out the activity of regional television and independent newspaper â€œKurâ€ in Yevlakh and said that they were interested in the development of regional press and expressed readiness to host regional bureau of the countryâ€™s leading televisions, agencies and newspapers in Yevlakh. He also emphasized the establishing of printing house in the region. He said they were establishing press services of the local authorities to make relations with mass media closer.
Chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov said such events aimed to develop regional media organizations and they would be continued in future.
Executive director of the Mass Media Support Fund Safarli said the development of regional mass media was one of the Fundâ€™s priorities. He said they prepared some proposals for this issue. â€œThe Fund considers allocation of resources only for printed and online media, but we decided to use experience of some countries and implement it for the development of regional televisions as well. The proposals will be sent to the relevant organizationsâ€.
