Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. National Television and Radio Council held training on the theme “Program policy of radio broadcasters” within the framework of the project “Increasing the proficiency of television and radio journalists”, APA reports. Director of examination, programming and analytical department of the council Tavakkul Dadashov said there are over 10 radio stations in Azerbaijan. Their main problem is the violation of some articles in the legislation.
“Musical, entertaining programs prevail in radio, there are serious faults concerning the state language, some programs violate national, moral values, there are few intellectual programs,” he said.
Dadashov said some radios prefer intimate topics to attract the attention.
“Unfortunately, the first private radio of Azerbaijan ANS CM tops this list. The channel has been warned several times, but such topics are still covered. The recent fact was recorded in the program presented by Tofig Hasansoy on December 4. The presenter talked about intimate topics. National, moral values have been violated in Radio Antenn particularly in the morning programs,” he said.

Chairman of the National Television and Radio Council Nushiravan Maharramli said the legislative control over radios is not so strong.
“Radios should fulfill the function of raising awareness, giving information and entertaining. Unfortunately, radios have completely forgotten the function of raising awareness. Activities should be carried out with each of the channels. The program policy of the radios should be changed,” he said.
