Nushiravan Maharramli: â€œWe have to use administrative methods against TV channelsâ€

He said if the Council started to use administrative methods, it would damage TV channels. â€œI wouldnâ€™t like to threaten them. It is only recommendation yet. If show programs save present state, it will damage TV channels that they will lose more than they earn from show programs. If we implement some articles of broadcasting law, it will harm the TV channelsâ€™ situation. This issue is discussed at the Council nowâ€.

Maharramli said show broadcasting in Azerbaijan was in poor condition. â€œAs if there are no leading figures in Azerbaijan except the singers and it would be acceptable if those singers had broadcasting culture, level and ethics. This problem exists in all TV channels. They think that the programs become more interesting with their jokes. But they must remember that cooking becomes tasteless when it is salted and peppered much. Radios are in worse situation. They broadcast programs as if they are chatting in the kitchenâ€.
