In 2025, container transportation through Georgia along the Middle Corridor increased by 33%, while cargo traffic via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route rose nearly sixfold, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at the Georgia-Turkmenistan Business Forum held in Tbilisi, APA's local bureau reports.
According to him, Georgia and Turkmenistan are not only trade partners for each other but also serve as important bridges between Europe and Asia.
"We share common interests in strengthening regional connectivity and international trade. Based on these shared strategic advantages, we attach particular importance to the development of the Middle Corridor," Kobakhidze added.
The Prime Minister noted that Georgia continues to strengthen its transport and logistics infrastructure to make the Middle Corridor faster, more efficient, and more competitive.
