Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže had to remain in a shelter for some time during Russia's massive overnight air strike on Kyiv on August 5, APA reports.
She said this during a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
Braže expressed her condolences to the families of those killed in the Russian attack and stressed her solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Note that the Latvian foreign minister arrived in Ukraine on a two-day official visit one day before the attack. During the visit, she is expected to discuss security, military assistance, and bilateral cooperation with Ukrainian officials.
