“Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia form the backbone of the "North-South" corridor,” said Seyed Abbas Mousavi, Iran's ambassador to Azerbaijan, on his Twitter page, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
He said that the tripartite memorandum of understanding signed today for the facilitation of transit indicates a breakthrough in the country's foreign trade.
"In the shadow of the neighborhood policy of the 3 countries, the joining of India to this mechanism will further revive the development of the road," the ambassador said.
