"One of the main priorities is ensuring food security, substituting imports, and diversifying export markets," Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov stated during the third reading of the draft law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025" in the Milli Majlis, APA reports.
"The 2025 state budget includes significant funds for food security measures. The implementation of the 'State Program on the Socio-Economic Development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023–2027' will remain a priority, and AZN 150 million will be allocated. At the same time, the Government plans to prepare the next five-year state program on the socio-economic development of regions. This document will include measures to support entrepreneurship development, develop infrastructure in rural areas, boost employment, and realize tourism potential," the Prime Minister said.
