A meeting was held between Rashad Nabiyev, Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport, and Roman Starovoit, Russia's Minister of Transport, at the Russian Ministry of Transport, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers, with the participation of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev, signed an intergovernmental cooperation agreement between Azerbaijan and Russia on the development of transit cargo transportation along the "North-South" International Transport Corridor.
The agreement defines the terms of cooperation between the two countries in the development of railway infrastructure and transit transportation. Its goal is to enhance the efficiency of transportation links and increase the potential of the western route of the North-South transport corridor.
