As part of the implementation of the mobility transformation program in Baku, the implementation of the proposed project related to the central part of the capital - Icherisheher and Aziz Aliyev Street - will begin on October 27, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Digital Development and Transport told APA-Economics.
The project approved by the Transport Coordinating Council envisages the restriction of car traffic from the intersection of Istiglaliyet Street with Azerbaijan Avenue to Aziz Aliyev Street, the creation of boarding and disembarking points for tourist buses in the square in front of the Gosha Gala gates, and the complete restriction of car traffic on Aziz Aliyev Street. The entry of all vehicles to the territory of Icherisheher will be restricted, except for vehicles intended for the supply chain management of residents and diplomatic representatives located here, operational, technical, housing and communal services, enterprises. These vehicles will be allowed to enter Icherisheher from Neftchiler Avenue.
