Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has successfully operated its inaugural flight to the Turkish city of Kars, AZAL told APA-Economics.
Passengers on the first flight to Kars were welcomed with a special ceremony at Kars Harakani Airport.
Flights on the new route will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. The launch of the new destination will further expand air connectivity between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, increase travel opportunities for passengers, and contribute to the development of tourism, business, and cultural ties between the two countries.
Note that Türkiye remains the largest market in AZAL's route network. The airline currently operates scheduled flights to Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Bodrum, Trabzon, Dalaman, Adana, and Kars.
