United States President Donald Trump said on Friday that he decided not to go through with his initial idea to ban diesel exports after European states agreed to release diesel from their strategic reserves earlier today, APA reports.
"We were never gonna do it. But basically, Europe was great, because they're putting out a lot of diesel oil out there. They have diesel. They use diesel disproportionately more than most, and they did a great thing," Trump told reporters.
The US president also stated that he has a "great relationship" with Europe, adding that his relationship with Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is "very good," and that he "always liked her."
