A 5.0-magnitude earthquake is registered to have hit Russia's east coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula on Friday, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), APA reports.
The earthquake struck 185 kilometers southeast of the port city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and 1,565 kilometers northeast of Asahikawa, Japan.
No immediate reports of damage have been received following the tremor, and no tsunami warning has been issued so far.
