State-owned communications enterprises to be privatized in Azerbaijan

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies intends to offer state-owned communications enterprises for privatization.
Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said the government plans to have its communications entities privatized in the near future.
"Except for some small entities, almost all joint ventures have already privatized. Now, in the second stage, it is slated to denationalize fixed telephone networks, including Baku Telephone Network and Aztelecom,†he noted.
