Azerbaijan to ban Euro 1 and Euro-2 incompliant cars

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerbaijan State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents will set Euro-2 standard on production of gasoline in late January or early February, said Ramiz Hasanov, chairman of the State Committee.
According to him, after the adoption of this standard it would apply not only to gasoline, but also to the car fleet.
"So, older cars not complying with Euro 1 and Euro-2 will be banned," he added.
He noted that concerned ministries and other government agencies are developing a provision on the implementation of this process.
