Azerfon-Vodafone 3G service rates for announced

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva - APA-ECONOMICS. Azerfon (Nar Mobile) has presented 3G web video call and services under the Azerfon-Vodafone brand, and Vodafone-made Mobile Connect Modem and double SIM-cards.

There are 4 internet packages available: 1, 3, 5 GB per month and unlimited traffic.

The price of packages in the first month is AZN 107, AZN 127, AZN 147 and AZN 187 (including modem) respectively.
For the second month, subscription fee is AZN 27, AZN 47, AZN 67, and AZN 107.

The number of SMS per month is 50, 70, 100 and 200 respectively, the cost of each SMS over the limit is AZN 0.12, AZN 0.10 and AZN 0.08.

The price of 3-month package for 3G mobile Internet is AZN 157, AZN 207, AZN 257 and AZN 357 respectively, the monthly fee is equal to the rates for the first month.

In addition, the tariff for double 3G SIM-cards for the first month is AZN 157 and subscription fee is AZN 77, the cost of each SMS and minutes over the limit is AZN 0.10.

The 3G-all inclusive package provides subscribers are 300 incoming minutes, 200 MB internet and 200 SMS for all directions. Subscribers of the 3G - mobile internet is offered 3000 MB internet and 70 SMS for all directions.

Mr. Guido Helbich, CEO of Azerfon LLC said, the rates were determined in accordance with market prices and will change in competition in the future.

Further, in conjunction with Vodafone, Azerfon will provide products and services at cheaper rates while 3G services are mostly for corporate clients at the initial phase, he added.

Launched commercial operation in 2007, Azerfon services 1.5 million subscribers in 80% of Azerbaijani territory.
Azerfon entered into a non-equity partnership with Vodafone in 2009. It got a 3G license form the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies on December 1, 2009.
