Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan hails financial protocol on Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh

The embassy of Israel warmly welcomes the signing of the financial protocol on rehabilitation of Mughanli-Yevlakh part of Baku-Shamakhy-Yevlakh highway by the minister of transportation, minister of finance, representatives of Hapoalim bank (of Israel), Leumi bank (of Israel) and the BNP Paribas Bank of France, said the embassy in a statement.

The project, construction of 156 km of highway between Mughanly and Yevlakh is a landmark involvement of an Israeli company in the infrastructure sector.

The government of Israel facilitated the signing of the financial agreement by extending governmental loan guarantees to the parties. It reflects both the trust and confidence that the Israeli government has in the Azerbaijani economy as well as the close and friendly relations between the two countries.

Binui ve Shikun, the implementing company, is a leading construction company in Israel which is also involved (besides highway construction) in major sea water desalination projects as well as alternative energy projects. The company is also extensively involved in other international projects.
