Best Internet Project Contest deadline extended

Baku - APA-ECONOMICS. In conjunction with IRELI youth organization, Azerbaijanâ€™s search engine Yumroo (www.yumroo.az) is holding a contest so-called "Best Internet Project" with part of the 1st National Internet Forum-2009.

Yumroo CEO Anar Yolchiyev said the dealine for entries has been extended until February 1 because a few entries have been sent yet.

Yumroo said the contest is open to young professionals working or interested in ICT.
The entries may be submitted by both individuals and IT-teams. Entries may be submitted in the form: the text material in Azerbaijani, Russian or English languages. The entry can be presented in the form of graduate theses and term papers. They can be accompanied by computer models, computer presentations, computer tracks, using photos, audio, video, graphic and text materials, advertising network products.

The work should consist of the following items:

â€¢ Objectives
â€¢ Technology used
â€¢ Project
â€¢ Outputs
â€¢ Development plan

Applications shall be sent to [email protected].
Each contest participant will have a realistic chance to earn the grand prize - an expensive laptop provided for the three best projects. Closing date for applications is November 28, 2009.

The award ceremony will take place in a solemn ceremony with the participation of public, commercial and other organizations. Best entries will be published on the site of the first National Internet Forum-2009 - www.internetforum.az.
