As a result of search operations carried out by the Department for Combating Organized Crimes and the Sumgayit City Policy Office, Sumgayit resident Zohrab Shikhaliyev, 1978, was detained, the Interior Ministry said, APA reports.
During the inspection, a Valter pistol with three cartridges was found in his chest.
The operational measures continued in Z.Shikhaliyev’s house in the Jorat village. During the search of the house, an illegally constructed mosque and an underground structure used as a madrasah were discovered. As a result of both search operations, 3 grenades, 48 cartridges with different calibers, 6 explosive detonators, 2 memory devices for security cameras as well as 500 religious books prohibited by law and 210 discs were found and seized.
Investigation is underway.
