The Salyan district prosecutor’s office has investigated the information received Tuesday of two of the triplets newly born in the district central hospital.
According to information, investigations made it clear that Salyan resident Mirzabita Abdullayeva was admitted to the district central hospital’s maternity ward on Monday evening and she gave birth to healthy triplets around 21:00 local time. However, two of the triplets died unexpectedly overnight and at roughly the same time lights went off in the hospital.
The district prosecutor general’s office has opened a criminal case on Article 314.2 (negligence committed on imprudence and entailed death of the victim or other heavy consequences). A medical-forensic team is working to find the cause of the deaths.
Moreover, special experts from the Ministry of Health are conducting necessary inspections.
The acts of those responsible for the deaths will be given legal assessment after the comprehensive and unbiased investigative actions are over.
