According to law-enforcement authorities, Elnur Naghizade is charged with fraud, abuse of power and manufacturing or selling of official documents, state awards, seals, stamps, forms or use of counterfeit documents.
It was reported a few days ago that Baku residents Vusal Ibrahimov vÉ™ Zaur Asgarov appealed to law enforcement authorities that they gave $150,000 to Elnur Naghizade in August 2015 in order to get a job. They noted that they were not provided with work and they couldn’t get their money back. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the case.
SSAC Chairperson Maleyka Abbaszade told APA on February 19 that the commission conducted an internal investigation into complaints filed in January this year by two citizens about illegal activities of Elnur Naghizade.
“However, Naghizade’s activities had not affected the SSAC’s work. As you know, he was a commission spokesman,” she added.
