The pardon order signed today by President Ilham Aliyev has been implemented in Nakhchivan, APA’s local bureau reports.
Among those pardoned are two foreign nationals who were serving sentences at the Mixed-Regime Penitentiary of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Turkish citizens Demir Mehmet and Özdemir Salih have been released.
President Ilham Aliyev signed an Order today pardoning a number of convicted persons. Under the Order, 19 people sentenced to imprisonment and one person sentenced to restriction of liberty have been released from the unserved remainder of their sentences.
