In the first half of this year, losses in Azerbaijan’s oil pipelines amounted to 1,600 tonnes, down 30.4% year-on-year, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
In the corresponding period of 2025, losses in oil pipelines across the country amounted to 2,300 tonnes.
It should be noted that in January-June this year, 16.516 million tonnes of oil were transported through Azerbaijan’s oil pipelines, down 10.8% year-on-year.
Some 76.9% of the transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline. During the reporting period, 12.7023 million tonnes of oil were transported through the pipeline, down 8.8% year-on-year.
