Relations with the United States cannot negatively affect Iran-Armenia ties, Chairman of the Armenian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan said during his speech at the 2026 APRI Forum, APA reports.
According to Khandanyan, friendly relations with Iran are very important for Armenia, and the sides intend to elevate their relations to a strategic level.
“The nature of our relations is strategic in itself. A relevant document on this will emerge in the near future,” he stated.
Khandanyan noted that Armenia does not intend to develop its relations with Iran at the expense of its relations with any other country or against any country.
