In January-June of this year, Azerbaijan’s revenues from freight transportation via main gas pipelines amounted to AZN 1.4024407 billion, representing a 3.2% increase year-on-year, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
In January-June 2025, the figure stood at AZN 1.3591566 billion.
It should be noted that in January-June of this year, 20.7921 billion cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, an increase of 2.6% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
In the first half of the year, 55% of gas transportation was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus Pipeline. The pipeline is mainly used to export gas produced from the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field. Thus, 11.4422 billion cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline during the reporting period, an increase of 1.8%.
