One person was killed and another injured in a fire involving a fuel-carrying vehicle in the Gazakh district on January 7, APA reports.
The incident occurred in the area of Khanliglar village, where a fire broke out in a fuel truck. A man born in 1994 sustained second-degree thermal burns to both hands and was hospitalized in the emergency department of the Gazakh District Central Hospital. His condition is reported as moderately stable.
Another man died at the scene before receiving medical assistance. The deceased was identified as Shamil Ibrahimov, a 1994-born resident of Gazakh city who worked as a fuel loader at the Gazakh Oil Storage Facility.
The fire was extinguished by the Ministry of Emergency Situations without spreading to nearby fuel tanks. An investigation is underway by the Gazakh District Prosecutor’s Office.
