Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Republic Military Prosecutor's Office has started executing the Act of Amnesty passed by the Azerbaijani Parliament on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev.
Press service of the Military Prosecutor's Office told APA that the Act of Amnesty has been applied to 74 servicemen convicted over military crimes. These persons were informed about the humane essence of the act, the representatives of the Military Prosecutor's Office held talks with them so that they do not commit illegal actions in the future.
The execution of the Act of Amnesty is being continued.
The draft law on the Act of Amnesty was submitted to the Azerbaijani Parliament by the First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva. The Azerbaijani Parliament approved the Act of Amnesty on May 7.
