Press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA that criminal case has been launched on article 120.1 (premeditated murder) over the fact of premeditated murder of German citizen Vusal Schilder in Narimanov district on May 2 at 14:00.
The investigation found out that Elman Isgandarov, who was twice imprisoned over knifing, together with his relative Seymur Talibov and others knifed to death Baku resident Vusal Schilder in temple, chest and other part of the body outside apartment 3 B at Rajabli street on May 2 and then escaped.
As a result of the urgent investigation carried out by the law-enforcement bodies and prosecuting authorities, Isgandarov was detained on May 4, criminal proceedings were instituted against him. Hooded T-shirt worn by Isgandarov when the crime was committed, and the knife were taken as material evidence.
Criminal proceedings were instituted against Isgandarov on articles 120.2.1 (premeditated murder by a group of persons) and 120.2.5 (contract killing) of the Criminal Code, court sentenced him to pre-trial detention.
Department for Investigation of Grave Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office is continuing thorough and objective investigation to identify other participants of the crime.
