Mudflows caused damage to residential areas in the villages of Zabukh and Sus in the Lachin district -JOINT INFORMATION

"As a result of heavy rains in the mountainous and foothill areas that lasted for several days, residential areas in the villages of Zabukh and Sus in the Lachin district were damaged. Due to above-normal precipitation, mudflows from the mountain range around the village filled the basements of some houses," says a joint statement by the Special Representation of the President of Azerbaijan in the Lachin district and the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, APA reports

The information noted that the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin region Masim Mammadov, the Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Rovshan Rzayev and representatives of relevant departments are currently in the disaster area.

"Necessary measures are being taken in a coordinated manner to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster quickly," the information emphasizes.
