The shooting of an Azerbaijani man surnamed Bayramov and his son at the central market of Marneuli district in Georgia, where Azerbaijanis densely reside, the previous day, is being linked to the “criminal underworld,” the relatives of the victims told TV Pirveli, APA’s local bureau reports.
According to their claims, several days before the armed attack, the Bayramov family was contacted on behalf of a so-called “thief-in-law” nicknamed “Polad,” who demanded money.
According to eyewitnesses, the armed assailant was not wearing a mask and left the market area by getting into a taxi.
Based on information from the TV channel, the identity of the person who carried out the shooting has been established, but he has not yet been detained.
Note that the father and son were owners of a gold jewelry shop at the market. As a result of the armed incident, 27-year-old Sahib Bayramov, who sustained a gunshot wound, died in the hospital, while his father’s condition remains serious but stable.
