On October 6, as a result of the cooperation between the units of the Coast Guard of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan and the border ships performing the task of the State Border Guard, the smuggling of a large amount of narcotics to the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented, the Press Center of the State Border Service told APA.
As a result of complex search and operation measures, various drugs and 13,110 methadone M-40 pills with a total weight of 205 kilograms and 135 grams were found and taken in the service territory of the coast control unit located in Niyazabad village of Khachmaz district.
3 citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan suspected of bringing narcotics into the country were detained in the coastal area.
Operational-investigative measures are being continued.
