Devechi region police department chief Nizami Sadigov told APA police groups are searching for the body missing since August 6, this year, in Samur-Absheron channel and around it. Expressing hope for yielding a result, Sadigov said detained Galagah resident Tevekkul Ismayilov, who is accused of committing crime, is not likely to have given false testimony.
“As far as I suppose, Tevekkul Ismayilov can hardly ever tell a lie regarding this matter. Since he threw the dead body of another sister, Naila Majidova inot the channel, he is sure to have thrown Rehyane too. The searching continues in the channel and its surrounding,” the police chief said. He added that accused Tevekkul Ismayilov has not yet been transferred to Baku.
The missing sisters’ father Zamir Majidov told APA he is dissatisfied with the searching operations and demanded soonest result. The father added that he together with his close relations have gathered outside the region prosecutor’s office.
“They have not found my another daughter’s body. I do not believe in police. Therefore, I demand this from the prosecutor. Local residents are searching for my daughter most of all,” he complained.
