Officials refuse ties in Youth Day event

The UN Department of Public Information representative to Azerbaijan Envera Selimovic invited the officials participating in the event to talk with young men without ties for the sake of a sincere atmosphere. Deputy Youth and Sport Minister Intigam Babayev, department chief of Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population Vahab Mammadov and other officials expressed readiness for talk sincerely without ties, but Deputy Education Minister Elmar Gasimov did not refuse his tie.
Ms. Selimovic addressing the event said this yearâ€™s commemoration -- Be Seen, Be Heard: Youth Participation for Development -- focuses on the enormous contributions young women and men everywhere can and do make towards national uplift.
Founder of â€œIreliâ€ (Forward) Republic Youth Movement Jeyhun Osmanli said that youth under 35 comprise 67% of Azerbaijani population adding that programs should be prepared to solve employment problem of youth, and also there shoukd be more programs on refugee and IDP young men. Saying that despite nearly 170 youth organizations in the republic, Mr.Osmanli added that their activity is not in satisfactory level. /APA/
