Working Group for Russian TVs transmission in Azerbaijan meets

NTRCâ€™s representative in the Group Gafar Jabiyev told APA the meeting considered broadcasting of Russian RTR in Azerbaijan and AZTV( Azerbaijan) in Russia. Gafar Jabiyev said proposals will be submitted to the Azerbaijani government at the end. One of the proposals of Azerbaijan is broadcasting AZTV in Russiaâ€™s national wave, the condition on which Azerbaijan is insisting. Until today Azerbaijan broadcasted Russia TV channels in national wave.
According to NTRCâ€™s representative, Turkeyâ€™s STV is not discussed in this connection. NTRC chairman Nushiravan Maharramli told APA Russiaâ€™s ORT will be suspended in Azerbaijan. According to him, the agreement on broadcasting RTR in Azerbaijani territory for three years is expected to be signed with debating this issue every year. Agreement between AZTV and RTR is on the agenda. This issue will be settled by June 10.
NTRC decided to suspend broadcasting foreign channels in July 10. Turkeyâ€™s TRT-1 is not on the agenda as the agreement with this channel has not expired. /APA/
