Sabunchu District Police Office told APA that Shamilli was detained as a result of operational actions and 6, 69 gr of marihuana was founded after his body-search.
The criminal case was launched under the Criminal Code’s article #243 (Illegal preparation, sale, acquisition, storage, transportation, sending or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursor preparation), the investigation is underway.
Haji Mehdi Ahamilli is one of the founders of Islamic Party of Azerbaijan. He stopped his party activity in 1998. Shamilli is a resident of Zabrat settlement.
