Participants of the opening ceremony got acquainted with conditions of the club.
Having speech at the ceremony, head of the â€œElite Horse Clubâ€ Etibar Guliyev noted that a purpose of the club is to help development of horseback riding. â€œAll the needed conditions were created at the club. All the types of horseback riding are possible at the club located 26 ha area. At the same time a service and care for horses of amateurs will be possible hereâ€, said Etibar Guliyev.

Underlining that horse riding was one of the historical sports of Azerbaijan, E. Guliyev said that alongside local breeds of horses, the club also has pony horses. Ponies will serve to children wishing about horseback riding. Everybody can apply to be member of the club.

Then various horseback shows were demonstrated for the participants by Azerbaijani jockeys. The shows were demonstrated with Karabakh, Holland horses and with ponies. It was noited that these horses also had participated at the traditional horseback riding show in UK and managed to attract attention of British media and spectators.

Talking about the ceremony, Youth and Sports minister of Azerbaijan Azad Rahimov stated that currently equestrianism live its new era in Azerbaijan and new sport events are held in this field.
Minister mentioned that Azerbaijani sportsman gained license for London Olympic Games.
â€œToday the team of Azerbaijan is among most powerful teams. Good conditions are created in Bina and Novkhani settlements for horseback riding by the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan. Youth can be taught horseracing as a sport here. Opening such a sport bases will stimulate development of the sports. We believe this. Although it is elite club, children, youth can train hereâ€.
Azad Rahimov also added that Equestrian Federation is working on restoration and keeping alive historical sports types of horseback riding

Head of the Equestrian Federation Elchin Guliyev also noted that there are people who are interested in horseback riding in Azerbaijan.

He noted that the horse to be ridden by Jamal Rahimov at London Olympics has already been defined. â€œAt the moment the sportsman trains with the horse and gaining serious achievements. Azerbaijani sportsman will ride the horse â€œWarriorâ€it means â€œDoyushcuâ€, said Elchin Guliyev.
