Haji Mammadov to be sentenced to 293 years in jail

26 members of the gang stand trial presided by Judge Ali Seyfaliyev in the second part of the day.
A lawyer to Eldar Rehimov Aydin Nazarli testified. He said that Public Prosecutorsâ€™ life sentence to Eldar Rahimov is injustice and asked to sentence the defendant to definite period. Haji Mammadovâ€™s lawyer Samad Aliyev stated that the investigation was not conducted deeply.
â€œHaji Mammadov was convicted of 92 Articles. The public prosecutors asked to sentence Haji Mammadov to 293 years in jail. But it is not right to accuse Haji Mammadov because of the robbery in Afag Malikovaâ€™s house. The investigation proved that the contractor was not Haji Mammadov. Haji killed Azer Ismayilov, Shirkhan Albiyev, Borris Eyyubov and Ruslan Ukushov because they created danger to his life. If Haji did not kill them, they would kill him,â€? he said. Novruz Nuriyevâ€™s Agazadeh Gulamov, Malik Mammadovâ€™s lawyer Aydin Balabeyov and Nishad Ismayilovâ€™s lawyer Terlan Azayev testified.
