A film about Karabakh “A story of people war and peace� made by Armenian producer Vardan Hovasenyan received no prize at the documentary film festival organized by IDFA in Amsterdam, Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress told APA.
Azeri Diasporas in Europe did not let the film receive prize as a number of facts about Karabakh were omitted. Display of “A story of people war and peace� sponsored by BBC discontented Azerbaijanis. They demanded to expunge the film from festival. The organizers took the discontent into account and as a result, the film did not receive a prize.
According to the agreement between Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress and IDFA, two documentary films of Azerbaijan will be displayed at the festival in 2007. /APA/
