Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. “The European Court on Human Rights passed a decision last December on sustaining the claim of Chiragovs against Armenia. This decision was placed in the Court’s website in January, 2012”, said Azerbaijan’s representative to the European Court of Human Rights Chingiz Asgarov, APA reports.

Asgarov said that they were satisfied with the decision and expected this result: “The preparatory work is being carried out for the next stage and the additional proofs are being gathered now”.

He also underlined that the additional proofs were being gathered for the rejection of Armenian complaints against Azerbaijan: “I consider that the claim of Chiragovs against Armenia will be sustained, at the same time the European Court will accept our evidences and reject the complaints of Armenians against Azerbaijan”.

Underlining the mass complaints of displaced persons against Armenians to the European Court, Asgarov informed that about 1000 complaints were sent to court up to now: “Generally, the number of these complaints is less. It is needed to present the certain proofs for addressing the European Court. Many displaced persons hadn’t an opportunity to take the documents of their houses, the evidential materials remained at houses and burnt. That’s why the possibility of considering the complaint in the European Court is an enough complex issue. 1000 presented complaints are enough weighty. Other complaints will be considered after reviewing the case of Chiragovs”.
