Baku. Sevil Zeynalgizi – APA. “Landslides became more active on Lankran-Lerik highway causing hollows in some parts of the roadâ€, Chief Engineer of Complex Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology Expedition of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Shaig Niftiyev told APA.
He said the landslide damaged the road and created dangerous situation there: “At any time the road can split into two parts. The rainfalls may further accelerate the process of landslide. Niftiyev said that the documentation work is being carried out and Cabinet of Ministers will be informed next few days.
The chief engineer also said that activation of landslides was also observed in the Agsu passage and Mughanli-Ismayilli highway.
