Japanese experts introduces two embedment projects for Bayil hill-side

Baku. Sevil Zeynalgizi â€“ APA. Japanese experts investigating the landslide area in Bayil hill-side of Baku prepare a report, chief engineer of the Hydrogeology and Engineering geology Expedition of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Shaig Niftiyev told APA.

He said the Japanese experts introduced two projects for embedment of the hill-side. One of the projects considers for embedding it till the sliding plane. Another one considers construction of drainage system for the prevention of ground waters. â€œBoth projects were discussed and the experts have already started the implementation of these projectsâ€.

Niftiyev said the situation in other landslide areas in Baku and Absheron peninsula is stable.

A landslide threat was created in Bayil hill-side last August. The dangerous area is located between the Eternal Flame monument and Gulustan palace.
