Several persons arrested in Azerbaijan

They are charged with establishing armed group, illegal arms storage, treason and illegal drug traffic.

Karimov said 20 people have been arrested so far and most of them were their relatives, including his brother Niyazi Karimov, chairman of Public Union for National-Moral Values Mehdi Mammadov, author of religious articles Abulfas Bunyadov, as well as Anar Bayramli, who introduces himself as a reporter of Iranâ€™s Fars news agency and Seher TV, driver of Seher TV Ramil Dadashov, nephew of Balagardash Dadashov, who was declared wanted on terror charges, Ali Mammadov.

Karimov said they didnâ€™t accept the accusations against these people.

There has been no official statement on the issue so far.

Lawyer Anar Gasimov, who represents Anar Bayramli, told APA that he was in custody for two-month pre-trial detention and denied accusations against him.

Bayramli was detained by Binagadi district police officeâ€™s 4th unit. Police found drugs near him.
