Persons organizing gambling games sentenced to pretrial detention in Azerbaijan

According to information, on February 8, the employees of Criminal Investigation Office and Investigation Office of Baku city Main Police Office revealed the holding of gambling games in the cellar of building situated at Narimanov district, Academician Hasan Aliyev Street 96. The criminal case has been launched into the fact on February 10 on the Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–244.1.1. The investigation revealed that the gambling house was organized by a person by the name of Naib, and Mammadov Elgun Gadir was working as a controller there.

The gambling games on the first floor of the restaurant situated in Binagadi district, the 6th micro district, S. Mammadov Street was found as a result of the other operational search actions carried out by the employees of the Main Office on February 9.

It was revealed that Allahverdiyev Eldaniz Jabrayil, his brother Allahverdi joined and organized â€œRussian lottoâ€ gambling game in the abovementioned place starting with January 17, 2012. Allahverdiyev was accused of the Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–244.1.2.2 and detained as suspect sentenced to pretrial detention.

The holding of gambling games in â€œPrestige clubâ€ tea-house situated in Binagadi district, Nakhchivani street and the organization of these games by person by the name of Parviz was revealed on February 15. The criminal case has been launched into the fact on February 16, 2012 on the Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–244.1.1.

The holding of gambling games on the first floor of â€œNuluferâ€ restaurant situated in Khatai district, Ahmadli settlement, in the intersection of M. Rustamov and Sarayevo streets was reveled as a result of operational search actions continued by the employees of Investigation Office and Anti-Drug Office of Baku city Main Police Office.

The investigations revealed that Huseynov Huseyn Vali and his familiar Samadov Huseynpasha Rafail joined and organized computerized bonus casino-gambling games for about 1 month 20 days in the hall unofficially rented on the first floor of the abovementioned restaurant. The criminal case has been launched into the fact on the Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–244.1.1 on February 16, then Huseynov was accused of Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–244.1.22 and detained as suspect.

The investigations on all cases are underway.
