Ramiz Rzayev: â€œNumber of decisions passed on Azerbaijan in European Court decreasedâ€

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh â€“ APA. â€œAzerbaijani courts examined about 160,080 cases last year. The Supreme Court was filed a cassation appeal on 5789 of itâ€, Chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev told journalists, APA reports.

Rzayev said that the state of valid proposition improved in the regions: â€œThe complaints on criminal cases gradually decrease. Most of complaints are on economic and civil cases and it is related to the rate of economic growth of Azerbaijanâ€. Chairman of Supreme Court underlined that the purpose in 2012 is to increase the efficiency of valid proposition; â€œThe courts must be the place of confidence of people. If there is any problem in any sphere, we try to discuss and remove itâ€.

Rzayev said that the number of complaints on Azerbaijan decreased in the European Court on Human Rights: â€œâ€According to the number of examined cases, Azerbaijan takes the lowest places. I donâ€™t say that we work better than all. But everything gradually improves and there are certain achievementsâ€.
