Four Azerbaijani citizens died in Kazakhistanâ€™s vessel explosion in Baku

Guliyev said that the bodies found at site were identified. The expertsâ€™ final opinion will be announced after the investigation.

Water Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told APA that captain of the vessel Haji Khalutayev, sailor Maarif Aghayev, welder Mehman Hajiyev and mechanic Sahib Feyzullayey were killed in the explosion which occurred in the â€œPTS-225â€ vessel.

The explosion occurred in the fishing vessel in Zigh seaport of Khatai district in Baku. According to primary information the explosion occurred during the repair works and resulted in fire. The fire was extinguished at 14.10. Four bodies were found at site. The incident is investigated.

Azerbaijanâ€™s State Marine Administration told APA that the incident occurred in the vessel belonging to Kazakhstanâ€™s â€œSaraâ€ company in shipbuilding yard in Zigh settlement. The incident occurred during the welding. Four people were killed as a result of explosion.
