APA’s correspondent reports from the site that according to the preliminary version, the fire occurred in the building, situated near Caspian Plaza Business Center at M.N. Nakhchivani Street 22, was caused by a short circuit.
Chief of Emergency Ministry’s State Fire Protection Service Staff Akbar Novruzov told journalists that the service received information about fire at 12.18. The employees of Yasamal District Fire Protection Unit, 4 fire-fighting vehicles were sent to the site. Novruzov said that the fire occurred as a result of burning of electrical conductors crossing from the building’s shaft situated in the intersection of J. Jabbarli and M.N. Nakhchivani streets. About 20 citizens were evacuated from the building. Nobody was injured. The reasons of the fire are being investigated.
