The State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations and Sumgayit city police found out that resident of Sumgayit Fazil Allahverdiyev and research fellow of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Alimadat Kazimov without official registration held a religious meeting with 10 persons.
They were taken to Sumgayit city police office. 10 of them were released after official warning. Allahverdiyev and Kazimov faced charges under article 299 (violation of rules for establishment and activity of religious organizations) of the Code of Administrative Offences, the materials were submitted to Sumgayit city court.
